About

Harry is a 30-something-year-old trans man living in an unending cornfield in the midwestern United States. He set up this blog to review media and explore writing for fun. He posts reviews of arcs, new releases, and backlists of books, in addition to reviews of other media.

Harry’s interests include nonfiction (particularly memoirs), real life hockey (PWHL, NHL, and his spouse’s rec league), hockey romances, LGBT+ romances, cozy romances, and occasionally science fiction and fantasy. Let’s be honest – if it’s a LGBT+ romance, then Harry is probably willing to give it a try.

His all time favorite books (in no particular order) are Their Eye’s Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, The Broken Earth trilogy by N. K. Jemisin, Check Please! by Ngozi Ukazu, Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler, The Brown Sisters trilogy by Talia Hibbert, Woodworking by Emily St. James, Icebreaker by A. L. Graziadei, Under the Whispering Door by T. J. Klune, and So Many Beginnings by Bethany C. Marrow. Favorite movies include The Princess Bride, A League of the Own, You’ve Got Mail, Coco, Superman (2025) and Goon. He is a big lover of book vlogs, video essays, and a veracious listener of podcasts.

Harry grew up with an auditory processing disorder that made learning to read challenging. He learned to read by listening to books on tape while following along in books and with nightly chapters read by his parents. They adventured through magical lands crafted by Philip Pullman, C. S. Lewis, Diana Wynne Jones, and that one we don’t mention. Harry’s love of romance is thanks to the collections at his hometown library and his grandmother’s shelves. Thanks to them he has a deep fondness for the works of Tessa Dare, Beverly Jenkins, Lisa Kleypas, Courtney Milan, and Eloisa James.

Harry is a just a lil scamp here to have a silly time and not take himself too seriously.
